What is carbon steel?

The amount of carbon can typically vary from 1% to 2% and is a material that is particularly prized for its properties, which give it much greater strength, hardness and elasticity than pure iron.
What is stainless steel?
Stainless steel is a metal alloy resistant to corrosion and oxidation due to the presence of chromium (generally at least 10.5%), which forms a thin surface layer of chromium oxide when the steel is exposed to oxygen. This passivating layer protects the stainless steel from corrosion. Therefore, which of the two materials to use depends on the specific requirements of the application and the importance of strength and durability in the context of use.
