The term “Fin cut” refers to the procedure that involves the partial or total removal of the weld seam inside of the tube.

Fin cut tubes

Fin cut tubes are those in which the weld seam located inside the tube is partially or completely removed. This process can be achieved with precision during the production of the tube itself, ensuring a smooth and uniform interior that facilitates the passage of fluids or materials through the tube. The removal of the internal weld seam also helps to improve the strength and durability of the material, minimizing the presence of any bumps or discontinuities that could compromise its performance.

Flash in tubes

Flash in tubes are those in which the weld seam inside the tube is not removed or is only partially removed. In this case, the weld seam remains inside the tube without undergoing any removal operations.

During the tube manufacturing process, Eurotubi produces only fin cut tubes, using electric resistance welding (ERW) technology. If you would like to know more, please feel free to contact us.
