In the past few weeks, we have completed the installation of the new steel strip end cleaning system on the P1 tube mill. This equipment allows us to optimally prepare the material for welding.

To achieve quality welding, it is essential to clean the strip edges by removing the aluminium or zinc coating. The cleaning process takes place continuously thanks to the action of two batteries of specifically designed tools that can be adjusted with a micrometric scale.

With this equipment we can process strips up to 480 mm wide and with thicknesses up to 3 mm.
