Eurotubi, in its commitment to improving the quality of its products, has introduced the use of a new durometer, which allows measuring the hardness of materials.
Hardness represents the mechanical resistance of a material to indentation by another harder body. The hardness test consists of indenting the material’s surface with a harder body to assess its mechanical resistance.
This control has various uses in the company; for example, it is used to test the rollers that make up the tube forming line. This test allows verifying that the hardness of the materials used meets the requirements of the applicable regulations and ensures compliance with the required standards. Checking the hardness of the rollers is therefore a very important aspect to guarantee their proper functioning and ensure high-quality products.
